THE Austrian Embassy brought the world famous glamour of the Vienna Ball to Bangkok with a splendid event at the Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok. Featuring a grand opening by debutants from prestigious Thai families, supported by waltzing couples from Vienna, the night also included an opera performance by Austrian singer Daniel Serafin, alongside the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra, as well as a silent auction to help raise funds for the Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Abuse Center Pattaya and the Child Protection and Development Center Pattaya.

THE Bar at Peninsula Bangkok Hotel celebrated the arrival of Negroni Week with a glamorous party inspired by the Roaring Twenties. Launched by Imbibe magazine and Campari in 2013, Negroni Week is an annual charity event which sees participating bars sell the classic Campari cocktail to raise funds for charities of their choice. The event pictured here, which featured a magic show, free-flow cocktails, and performances by a talented pianist, raised 53,000 baht for the Voice Foundation, which helps homeless, sick and disabled animals.

TRENDY bar and restaurant Long Table (25/F, 48 Column Bangkok, Sukhumvit 16) celebrated its seventh anniversary in glamorous fashion with a casino themed party with a ‘Bond and Bond Girls’ dress code. Free-flow drinks, creative canapés, and DJ performances kept the party jumping till the early hours.

OENOPHILES were out in force for Texica’s Grand Italian Wine Tasting, held after the finals of its Italian Wine Sommelier Competition, in the ballroom of the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok. More than 40 wines from different regions of Italy were showcased at the event. 

THE new Chilled Out Tuesday party at Ewya Rooftop Bar, Grease, Thonglor, kicked off in suitably fun fashion with a celeb-studded party featuring headlining sets by DJ Natasha Freake and George Lg (Paka Fr). Billed as “the Gentlemen’s Midweek Pit Stop,” the new event, presented by Grease and Hennessy, is held every Tuesday and features special drinks deals for the guys.

HARD Rock Café Bangkok celebrated the Hard Rock brand’s 44th anniversary with a special concert featuring performances by the restaurant’s brilliant house band, Power Jam, as well as Thai pop star Two Popetorn. An all-American buffet and free-flow drinks fuelled the fun late into the night.

MEMBERS and friends of the German-Thai Chamber of Commerce gathered for a splendid night of wining and dining at the Chamber’s Annual Gala Night. Held at the Grand Ballroom of the Shangri-La Hotel, under a ‘Der Showplast’ (The Show Palace)’ theme, the event recreated the Jazz-age spirit of the 1920s and was attended by more than 400 distinguished German and Thai executives, and guests from the business community. The night was capped with a charity raffle draw which raised funds for the Dr. Robert Dyckerhoff Foundation, a German charity organization supporting the education of hill tribe children in north-west Thailand.
