A Spectacular Journey: “Bangkok Prep” Celebrates 15th Year Anniversary and Shares Vision to Become Leading International School in Thailand Bangkok International Preparatory & Secondary School (Bangkok Prep) recently celebrated its 15th year anniversary with a stage performance, “Celebration of a Spectacular Journey” which showcased the school’s outstanding achievements, including its vision and values. The event had over 200 students participating, including honoured guests and parents who attended the Bangkok International Preparatory & Secondary School in Sukhumvit T77. The performance, “Celebration of a Spectacular Journey”, brought together songs from several languages and cultures that was creatively performed in addition to shows and poems by students in Years 1 to 13 (ages 6-18) The performance perfectly reflected Bangkok Prep’s 11 school values (Internationally minded, Respect, Problem Solver, Active Learners, Honest, Caring, Team Workers, Responsible, Resourceful, Communicators, and Community Minded) that has been sustained over the last 15 years, before closing with a grand firework show. The Ritz-Carlton, Koh samui held a cocktail reception in recognition of long-standing support since its official launch in Thailand in 2018.

Hotel management associates paid a visit to the respective homes namely; Yayasan Sunbeam Melaka and Hope Children’s Home Bukit Baru during the second week of January 2018 much to the delight of the children who eagerly opened their gifts amidst squeals and laughter. “It is our joy and privilege to share and help in fulfilling the wishes of these young children and light up their new year with a joyful start”, said, Mr. Klaus Sennik, General Manager. “We believe in sharing and bringing the season’s cheers to the less fortunate which remains one of our core values” he added. Prior to this, the wish of each child had been given to us by the respective homes to be hung on the tree, aptly named Ramada’s Wishing Tree. Guests and hotel associates were invited to join in supporting the noble and heartfelt cause by purchasing a gift and fulfilling the wish of a child which saw a tremendous outpouring of support and response from both hotel guests and associates who purchased and beautifully wrapped the gifts with special messages for the individual children from the respective homes. A troop of Smurfs will fly directly from Belgium to celebrate “The Smurfs 60th Anniversary”. Kids will meet the world’s first four-meter-high Smurf in loincloth and join many fun-filled activities such as Smurfs Painting and the first Smurfs Parade in Thailand. In the imagination-enhancing activity, they will paint Bangkok into a dream city with digital art technology. Last but not least, they can join learning activities and special courses from leading extra-curricular institutes that offer irresistible promotion. Standing tall in front of Smurfs Village to welcome the visitors, the first art installation in Thailand “Giant Smurf”, who is four meters high, is dressed in white silk loincloth specially made for him and holds a flower garland in his hand. For the first time, every family member can become one of the Smurfs in an adorable costume and receive a souvenir. At Charoen Nakorn Hall on M floor, several educational institutes will host workshops that teach children to create their own masterpieces such as painting or shaping dough or Korean clay, which can be taken back home as a souvenir. Michael Schlueter, General Manager of Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers recently led the Hotel Management and Associates, to host lunch and donate stuffs for multiple disabilities children under “Fulfill my dream” project at Home for Disabled Babies (Bann Fuengfah), Department of Social Development and Welfare, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security. Ditbordee Direkvathana, Nate Charutanont and Pannavach Vithayanoparat also participated.
