​THE Global Top Group brought home two awards from the prestigious Thailand Property Awards the 11th on Sep 22. Competing with over 200 developments entered into the competition this year. The awards include ‘Best Highly Commended Boutique Developer’ for the luxury developments in the best locations on the Eastern Seaboard and ‘Best Affordable Condominium (Eastern Seaboard)’ for Global Top Group’s The Cloud Pattaya condominium project. 

​PACE Development Corporation held an exclusive launch party to celebrate the long-awaited completion of its Mahanakhon development project. At 314 metres and 77 storeys, Mahanakhon towers over its neighbours, and the mixed-use superstructure’s distinctive pixelated design makes it stand out all the more. Joining the celebration were over a thousand A-list celebrities, including renowned rapper Pharrell Williams, who attended with family members. The inaugural event opened with a concert by world-class opera singer Jose Carreras and climaxed with a breathtaking light show called “Mahanakhon: Bangkok Rising, the Night of Lights’’. 

​FOR the sixth year in a row Hard Rock Café hosted its ‘Freddie for a Day’ birthday celebration for the late Freddie Mercury, who would have turned 70 on Sept 5. As always, fans showed up dressed as Freddie. The band Hubris performed a tribute show comprised of Queen hit songs. A part of the profits from the event were donated to Mercury Phoenix Trust to fight against HIV/AIDS.
