​Tipanat Lenbury, Country Manager of The Swatch Group Trading (Thailand) Ltd., and Brand Manager of OMEGA, the Swiss luxury watch brand with over 170 years of expertise in horological world, hosted the exclusive party of “OMEGA TRESOR COLLECTION” to celebrate a long tradition of exquisite OMEGA timepieces for women, a journey through time to experience the eternal beauty of the Fountain of Youth and celebrate the Trésor collection for the first time in Thailand. The party was attended by many celebrities such as Unchisa Vacharaphol, Ploy Bhinsaeng, Jarujit – Pimlert Baiyoke, Yanin Viravaidya, Taron Liptapallop, Pitta Na Patalung and OMEGA’s special guest Bella – Ranee Campen on Wednesday 20th June 2018, at 19th floor, Gaysorn Tower.

​For this special occasion, OMEGA transformed the stunning Gaysorn Crystal Box with a 270° view of Bangkok into an exotic place under the theme of “Fountain of Youth”, providing the best setting for OMEGA to celebrate timeless beauty of the Trésor collection. Representing the concept with beautiful installations, they portrayed the charm of the four seasons; spring, summer, fall and winter - a natural symbol of time in endless loops. All guests were impressed by the showcase of beautiful Trésor Collection, while enjoyed refined cocktail canapés, fabulous drinks, and beautiful harp music. Then, it was time to join the highlight of the night. Tipanat Lenbury, management of OMEGA Thailand, gave a warm welcome speech to greet all watch lovers and officially unveiled the Trésor collection for the first time in Thailand. In addition, to celebrate the iconic timepieces that reflect the natural charisma each woman possesses, OMEGA also invited renowned actress Bella – Ranee Campen, to share her passion for timepiece, especially for this Trésor collection. The exclusive night ended with live DJ performance by June One Kim from South Korea who heated up the beat and fun atmosphere for all distinguished guests and OMEGA’s fans.

​On the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the First Pact of Friendship and Trade between Portugal and Siam (1518), the Embassy of Portugal, Siam Piwat Co.,Ltd and Icon Siam, Camões – Portuguese Cultural Centre and AICEP, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Thailand Cultural Centre, and Camões – Institute for Cooperation and Language, co-organize “Rodrigo Leão OS PORTUGUESES” concert performed by the internationally acclaimed Portuguese musician Rodrigo Leão as part of the celebration for the long-lasting Thai-Portuguese relationship.
​This concert will be the first time that famous musician Rodrigo Leão perform in Thailand, bringing the unique and outstanding performance “OS PORTUGUESES – THE PORTUGUESE”, which gathers every song written in Portuguese, as well as the songs writing for the Portuguese TV documentary ‘A Social Portrait’, a seven-part documentary that chronicles the evolution of Portuguese society over the past 50 years, to convey the viewer throughout the series for performing to audience on the stage. In this performance, Rodrigo invites Mozambican dignitary musician to performance (violin, cello, and viola), as well as a multi-instrumentalist set that will allow him play back the multiple sound environments of the original recordings.

The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui was officially launched on June 8th, 2018 after much global anticipation. Prominent local and international guests arrived to a captivating island destination and were welcomed to celebrate its official opening that evening. Located on the tropical island paradise of Koh Samui on the Gulf of Thailand, the resort seamlessly combines the brand’s legendary service with the traditional spirit of Thai hospitality and colourful Samui island life culture to create a unique melting pot of indelible new memories. ​The evening was embracing Thai pomp and ceremony that included a thoughtfully crafted dinner designed by Executive Chef Jose Chelo Ballester, showcasing distinctive Thai influences and live traditional Thai music by local island performers. The elegantly decorated Baan Talat was the perfect alfresco setting for the exquisite dinner. Ceremonial speeches were led by Tan Sri Dato’ (Dr) Francis Yeoh, Managing Director of YTL Group of Companies, Craig Smith, President and Managing Director of Asia Pacific for Marriott International, Inc and Mahmoud Skaf, Area General Manager. A heartwarming moment filled the air when the Ladies and Gentlemen of the resort joined Mahmoud Skaf on stage for The Samui Way of Life Opening Countdown which was followed by a spectacular display of fireworks that lit up the night’s sky. Guests were treated to a chic after-party entertained by international DJ Andy Vier at the beach where the celebration continued into the night.

Shook!, a stylish interactive dining space, serves innovative Asian and Western dishes complemented by a superb selection of fine wines. The week-long international charity initiative will take place from the 4th - 10th June 2018 in bars, restaurants and retailers around the world to raise money for charitable causes. Over seven days, thousands of venues will celebrate the nearly 100-year-old Negroni cocktail, with Campari at the heart, over one shared charitable goal. With the modern cocktail movement continuing to expand, the annual event has grown larger every year, with Negroni Week 2018 set to be the biggest yet. Starting with 100 participating bars in 2013, last year’s Negroni Week welcomed the involvement of 7,770 venues in 60 countries to raise a phenomenal $1.5 million for charitable causes since the launch. The charity aims to break down all social barriers associated with hearing disabilities to help prevent sufferers from feeling isolated. The foundation provides financial support and equipment for the hearing impaired, and disseminates information concerning the rights of those unable to hear across the country. In 2014, the foundation campaigned to raise funds for cochlea implants. The charity aims to promote early diagnosis and enable all citizens to receive medical support – whether this is in the form of surgery or rehabilitation. ​ABOUT NEGRONI

It was around the year 1919 in Florence when Count Camillo Negroni contemplated ordering an Americano cocktail but decided it was time for a change. He requested it with a touch of gin instead of soda, inspired by his last trip to London and its prevalent gin scene. The bartender was pleased to honour Count Camillo Negroni’s request and added an orange garnish rather than the lemon wedge of the Americano to signify the new drink he had created. In Florence, the Count’s ‘usual’ became known as Count Negroni’s Americano, or the “Americano with a touch of gin”, but whatever it was referred to as back then, the Negroni was born. The Negroni is now one of the most famous contemporary classic cocktails. Anywhere you go in the world, you will find a mixologist who can make you the iconic Negroni. The original recipe, the perfectly balanced combination of equal parts of Campari, Red Vermouth and London Dry gin, is almost a century old and continues to be enjoyed today.
