Pattarit Jittawait, Founder and Creative Director of Tango Tonight Group, hosted the official launch of Crimson Room, transforming the Gatsby-style cocktail bar in downtown Bangkok into the golden era of jazz music, inviting jazz lovers to travel back in time while sipping premium cocktails at Crimson Room, the other day.

Following the success of Rabbit Hole, one of the hottest bars of Bangkok which ranks 34th in Asia's 50 Best Bars 2019, as well as Liberation, which was named the Capital’s Best New Bar at the Bar Award Bangkok, and a Michelin star restaurant Canvas. Tango Tonight Group is proud to present Crimson Room, a hidden gem in Bangkok. The event was attended by actresses and celebrities such as Namthip Jongrachatawiboon, Cris Horwang, Wiritipa Pakdeeprasong, Pitchana Ekachai, Napasasi Surawan, Ploypayap Srikarnchana, Ponphan Sittinawawit, Ploy Bhinsaeng, Kerika Chotivichit, Weeranund Sadakornwongwut, Nathalie Ducheine, Karn Chatikavanij and Thattaworn Sugunnasil.

The party was lively and vibrant with a concept inspired by the 1920s or The Roaring Twenties after World War I. In that era, there was a mix of various cultures, and fashion and jazz music were at their peak. Such elements are portrayed in luxurious design and classic charms in The Great Gatsby style. The high ceiling offers a spacious feel, creating a one-of-a-kind hangout spot. A brass chandelier designed as a hanging saxophone is hung before crimson curtains, befitting the name of the bar, while the stadium-style seats face the beautifully designed stage.

The curtains opened to a spectacular evening with DJs and live jazz band getting the groove on, before special shows designed just for Crimson Room were performed, starting with “Welcome to Crimson Room”, followed by an awesome acrobatic show, before wrapping up with an aerial gymnastic show that was incredibly stunning. Signature cocktails were served to the guests, offering delicate flavors that made the night even more memorable.

Signature cocktails at Crimson Room tell various stories of four particular moments. As the lights begin to dim in the theater, drawing every attention to the center stage as the curtain opens, the anticipation inspires Dim the Light range, the highlight cocktail of which is Bee Pollen. Expect a tangy taste of citrus, balanced out with sweetness from the caramel syrup made with bee pollen and thyme, mixed with Hendrick’s and Yellow Chartreuse.

The following moment is when the eyes widen as the velvet curtain slowly lifts to unveil the dazzling show, just like Raise the Curtain range which presents exquisite drinks made with special techniques to achieve a well-rounded flavor. The range is led by Them Apple is a cocktail made with American bourbon, sweetened with apple syrup and citrus, and topped with red wine.

The highlight of this special night was the funky music from the live band, which inspired Strike the Band range of drinks. The drinks are designed as traditional wet martini, straight from The Great Gatsby era, indulging cocktail lovers with sweetness and full-body texture. The highlight cocktail is Lavender Mood presents unique taste and aroma of Pink Grapefruit Tonic, mixed with freshness from blueberry and lavender and the main ingredient, gin.

The fulfillment as the show has ended comes with extended applause from the audience, filling the air with indescribable joy, just like the drinks in Take A Bow range, the highlight of which is Jungle Fever, made with Lanna premium Thai spirit which has a delicate scent of rice and Thai flowers, mixed with French Cointreau for a hint of freshness, fulfilling the experience at Crimson Room.

Pattarit Jittawait talked about Crimson Room, “Crimson Room is inspired by the 1920s, which will be 100 years ago in 2020. It was the most glorious era of party, and everyone was upbeat and in a constant mood for celebrations. They lived in the moment and enjoyed themselves. Therefore, we want to bring back that feeling and transport our guests to another world where they can have fun and enjoy jazz music.”

Napasasi Surawan, an actress who had a great time at the event, said, “Crimson Room is very impressive - the design is very detailed, and from the outside, you can’t tell what’s hidden inside. Once you step inside, it’s a completely different world. Among the cocktails, I like Bee Pollen the most, because it’s served in a bird cage-shaped glass, and the taste is amazingly fresh and well-balanced.”

Pitchana Ekachai, a fashionable celebrity, said, “I was blown away by the Welcome to Crimson Room show - it really made me feel like I was in the age of The Great Gatsby. The contemporary jazz music is very nice and fun, and later in the night the DJs played funky music. I think it’s a great cocktail bar for jazz lovers.”
