Special guests were entertained in Mexican style today at the grand launch and opening party of Hong Kong based Cali-Mex and Mexican speakeasy Los Atico, at their new flagship location  on Sukhumvit Soi 11

Cali-Mex Thailand announced the opening of its latest and third Bangkok outlet, Cali-Mex Bar & Grill Sukhumvit Soi 11. Located in the heart of Bangkok’s vibrant nightlife hot-spot Sukhumvit Soi 11, the new outlet goes up-scale on the popular Bar & Grill concept, focusing on a fresher and more sophisticated look with a wider choice of menu options.

Following the success of Cali-Mex Bar & Grill Sukhumvit 22—the brand’s popular debut outlet which opened in July 2018—Cali-Mex Bar & Grill Soi 11 features an expansive selection of irresistible Mexican-cuisine favourites, prepared with freshest market and imported produce sure to appeal to the most discerning of diners who frequent this eclectic lower Sukhumvit entertainment and dining quarter.

Cali-Mex Bar & Grill American-Mexican restaurants have their origins in Hong Kong, with 20 successful outlets operating throughout the territory. The brand is currently making significant inroads into the thriving Thai dining market, with three completed outlets and plans to open a total of 20 stores over the coming three years.
Cali-Mex Bar and Grill  Soi 11, offers a new Cali-Mex dining concept to Bangkok. The interior boasts stylish copper finishes with dark timber flooring centered with its Williamsburg Gin and Rye bar, a concept originally from Brooklyn.  40 small-batch gins and 30 bourbon / Whiskey labels are offered along with a range of craft cocktails and martinis.   Perhaps best of all are the unique custom-made beer taps serving refreshing ales right at your table.

The menu offers a variety of authentic Taqueria-style Mexican favourites like burritos, quesadillas and tacos, as well as selection of delicious gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan-friendly options.

The expanded menu also features a taste-tempting selection of starters like the best-selling Spinach and Artichoke Dip, Chilli Con Carne and Sizzling Garlic Chilli Prawns, plus main dish options like Grilled Chicken Parmigiana, Beer Battered Fish & Chips and Prime Rib-Eye steak, served sizzling hot and grilled to perfection.

The Cali-Mex Bar & Grill concept offers a refined dining environment, with diner-like booth seating complete with individual tableside beer taps—a signature Cali-Mex feature and first-ever in Bangkok!

Los Atico also launched on the night.  Located on the top floor of Cali-Mex Bar & Grill on Sukhumvit Soi 11, Hong Kong’s best-loved Mexican speakeasy  opened its doors on 15th February.   The renowned Miami-based graffiti artists — Ruben Ubiera, Orgie (AKA Le’ Creep) and Golden — created a fantastic art balance of love and fear, to flex their talents on the walls of Los Atico, don’t miss out. Chef Abel Ortiz A – formerly of Central Restaurant in Peru (rated 4th best restaurant in the world by San Pellegrino Vote’s Top Restaurants – introduces to Bangkok diners his inspired take on authentic Mexican fare such as; Street-style Tacos, Ocean-fresh Ceviches and Tableside Guacamole, all created with Rob’s cocktails in mind – not to mention our Tequila y Mezcal Library. So when you’re in Bangkok getting your tropical-fun fix on, take the stairway up to a new dimension and experience the Thai incarnation of this tequila lover’s paradise, with its dazzling décor and can’t-miss seasonal  cocktails, and five Margaritas on the menu, with a broad range of flavors bound to please the most discerning of palates and expose Kariakan’s cocktail mastery including Hibiscus based (Jamiaca), Lavander infused (Tequila makes My Clothes Come Off),  Jalapeno spicy, and Mango Mezcal. The last one is Carlos Slim, the ultimate margarita which is made fresh at your table.

Tequila Makes My Clothes Come Off is possibly the most iconic drink of the bunch and pays tribute to the signature neon sign…’your taste buds are in for a ride!’ Made with lavender infused El Luchador over-proof Tequila, grapefruits, fresh limes and topped with citrus soda, we can see why this is Linda’s favorite.
