Campari and Alchemy celebrated their success of the past year and merrily started off the new one with the first event of the year, Campari x Alchemy Staff Party, at their base in Sathorn Thani Building on Sathorn Road, earlier in January where all the staff members got to let loose and win prizes from numerous fun games and competitions throughout the evening. The staff party, which was held for the first time after the pandemic, was organized by their own capable and highly-experienced in-house event organizer under the theme “Thai Country” where staff members dressed to the nine with their best interpretations of provincial Thai attires. The hall was elaborately decked out and a grand stage was propped up for the Best Dress contest. Supported by Campari (with all the brand ambassadors present!), the party was undoubtedly properly fueled with fine spirits and craft cocktails for the staff to enjoy during the merry making and mingling session. But Campari x Alchemy Staff Party was not all about fun and entertainment. It was also a time where knowledge was shared, and new talents were discovered. At the event was also a mini-training session about the perfect serve of two of the brand’s iconic drinks, Negroni and Aperol Spritz, for not only the sales team but also the entire staff members. Once the training concluded, the staff then took turn creating their perfect serve and presenting their cocktail in three minutes, the same way contestants in most prestigious bartending competitions did, with Symphony Loo, Campari Group Brand Ambassador – SEA and the newly appointed Brand Ambassador, Campari Thailand, Thanamon Suthon, in the judging panel. Well, yes, it was just a staff party, but at Campari and Alchemy, all things about drinks were always taken seriously and passionately. Every “contestant” was doing their absolute best to not forget the recipes and to calm their nerves. While one would think those with previous training experience like the sales team would have more advantage in this competition, it came as a surprise that the winner was the firm’s newbie in the admin department who snatched up the cash prize and a round of big applause from his colleagues. It could very well be that this dark horse was a natural born mixologist with dormant bartending skills. But one thing we know for sure is that that the perfect serves of Negroni and Aperol Spritz were incredibly easy, refreshingly intuitive, and fabulously fun to achieve.
