The first event took place on Friday 11th September when 200 breakfast meals were cooked and donated to the Bangkok School for the Blind in Bangkok’s Ratchathewi District.
The school was originally founded by Miss Genevieve Colfield, a blind American lady in 1939 as the "School for the Blind", and in 1960 it was classified by the Thai government as a private charity school. In 1977 it changed its name to "Bangkok School for the Blind” under the Royal Patronage of H.M. the Queen. The School does superb work providing general education for those with impaired eyesight at the early childhood level, as well as supporting students in secondary education, and the hotel was delighted to be able to support this very worthy charity.
