By definition, in the creation of their own Bangkok 'green lung', it is fitting that Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok have been certified silver with LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) of U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), certifying their sustainability levels in the famed Langsuan hotel.

'The Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok has been built with a nod to sustainability at every corner,' said Patrick Both, Cluster General Manager - Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok and Sindhorn Midtown Hotel Bangkok. 'It's not just LED lighting throughout the hotel, but the triple-glazed windows to ensure stable room temperatures, as well as the drop-seals on the doors to remove unnecessary noise from our guests' experience. Sustainability is about the human connection too, not just the aesthetics.'

The LEED certification of the hotel, is a true testament to the sustainable vision of the Siam Sindhorn Co., Ltd. Group, as their collection of hotels become the largest hotel and residential campus to earn LEED certification across the entire ASEAN, an amazing feat.

The Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok ticks the sustainable design boxes from the big-box items with energy efficiencies throughout the property, as well as developing a green mindset throughout the hotel. CRAFT's recycled cups have become quite Instagram famous, synonymously the hotel has opted for recycled pencils with their own seed pods in the conference rooms at The Studio, in addition to completely biodegradable water boxes for the conference guests.

“As an organization whose goal is to develop eco-friendly properties and to promote sustainability and users’ quality of life, we strive to push forward to develop Sindhorn Village, which includes Residential Building, Hotel and Commercial Building for rent, into full-scale Green Buildings. Today, we have achieved our goal to develop Sindhorn Village to become the first largest group of hotel and residential project in Thailand and the largest one in Southeast Asia to be awarded a certification” said Mr. Pramote Techasupatkul, Executive Director of Siam Sindhorn Co., Ltd.
