Heinz Thailand Limited, the holding company of the “Kraft Heinz” brand and one of the largest food companies globally, partners with Thai Red Cross Society - an initiative that aims to support mothers including single mothers in Bangkok Metropolitan Region and nearby provinces during the COVID-19 pandemic through the distribution of essential food to ensure that those in need have their families taken care of.

As part of this initiative, Kraft Heinz contributed 30,000 bottles of Heinz oyster sauce and Heinz ketchup, as well as food packs containing essentials such as rice, cooking oil, salt and sugar to those in need. These food packages will be distributed by Thai Red Cross Society to mothers, including single mothers, who need urgent support throughout Bangkok Metropolitan Region and nearby provinces.
Mr. Joao Leitao, Managing Director of ASEAN, India, Hong Kong, and APAC Exports, Heinz Thailand Limited, said “As we battle the COVID-19 outbreak, we recognize that this group of people face a hard battle everyday as they face challenges of single-handedly having to work and raise their children at the same time, which has only been exponentially worsened during the COVID-19 pandemic. We decided to partner with Thai Red Cross Society as we believe that it is a meaningful initiative that can help us to reach out to the mothers including single mothers in our community, and do our part as a food company to continue to bring food to homes.” Mr. Khan Prachuabmoh, Director of Fundraising Bureau of the Thai Red Cross Society stated that, “We are grateful for the generosity of Heinz Thailand Limited, as food is ever more critical during unprecedented times like these. With a pandemic looming, at large, having food packages delivered to these Mothers will definitely go a long way for them.”

This contribution is part of Kraft Heinz’s global commitment in donating $12 million globally to ensure people across the globe have the food they need amid this challenging time. Kraft Heinz is also working with various food partners across the globe, including the United States, the UK, Netherlands, France, Italy, Spain, Russia, Poland, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Costa Rica and Asia.
