Bangkok Bank, the title sponsor of the Bangkok Bank CycleFest 2019 led by Dr. Thaweelap Rittapirom, Director and Executive Vice President has organized “Road to Bangkok Bank CycleFest”, a cycling workshop amidst the peaceful greenery of Bang Kachao near Bangkok, held exclusively for Bangkok Bank management and its affiliates. The focus of the cycling workshop is to promote community-based tourism in the Bang Kachao area along with enhancing close relationships within the organization. The workshop is also a great opportunity for the participants to share experiences, expertise, and cycling techniques with the greater bike community all within a relaxed and natural environment.

Dr. Thaweelap Rittapirom, Director and Executive Vice President of Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited said, “Road to Bangkok Bank CycleFest is part of the Bangkok Bank CycleFest 2019 activities and serves to promote community-based tourism which is having a positive impact on the social, economic, and environmental conditions of the Bang Kachao community. The cycling tour is an ideal activity to help maintain good physical and mental health for everyone taking part. By organizing “Road to Bangkok Bank CycleFest” we are reinforcing our position of being ‘Your Trusted Partner’ by continually striving to promote healthy lifestyle activities that align with innovative products and services that take care of our customer's financial health.”

There are so many health benefits to cycling, and most people, of varying levels of fitness and even age, can participate. It’s ideal for not only those who take a professional approach to the sport but also those who simply want to get outdoors, enjoy nature, and interact with others in a fun and active way. And doing it in such a lush, green, and fresh air environment such as Bang Kachao is an added bonus.

Dr. Thaweelap continued, “This workshop is just the beginning of the fun, we still have the main event ‘Bangkok Bank CycleFest 2019’ that everyone can take part in on November 23-24 at Siam Country Club, Pattaya which we know will be a remarkable experience for all. Apart from the cycling, Bangkok Bank CycleFest 2019 will be raising funds for our official charity partner Siriraj Foundation, whose mission is to assist with the treatment and care of underprivileged patients at Siriraj Hospital. So, not only does this event benefit those who take part but it also contributes to the health of those in need.”

The location for this event, Bang Kachao, offers a peaceful escape from the chaos of the city, traffic jams, and air pollution in Bangkok. This one-day cycling workshop is designed to be an enjoyable time with a private cycling tour through lush greenery and coconut tree alleys where riders get to explore local workshops like tie-dye clothing at Aromatic Joss Stick House which is a learning center where visitors can see local wisdom and study the ways and customs of the people living there. Apart from the cycling tour, the workshop also reinforces the basics of how to prepare for better cycling from beginner to professional levels and also highlights topics particularly relevant to the local biking community. Featured experts include Chinatip Boonchokhirunmeta, Chief Executive Officer of Nich Cycling, The High-Performance Bicycle; Coach JJ John Julius Jennings Bennett, Sports Scientist Coach and Former professional cyclist from England, Yo Yossavadee Hassadeevichit and VarnVarn Aroonnapa Panichjaroon, Brand Ambassadors of Bangkok Bank CycleFest 2019. These key speakers shared their sage advice on cycling preparation tips, muscle stretching techniques, nutrition for exercise, and goal setting to help you not only improve your cycling now but to also ensure you can enjoy the sport for many years to come.
