More than 500 guests celebrated the debut of Waldorf Astoria in South East Asia at the grand opening of Waldorf Astoria Bangkok.
The star-studded event was graced by H.E. Mr. Weerasak Kowsurat, Minister of Tourism and Sports, and saw actresses, actors, models and celebrities including Sririta Jensen, Taksaorn Paksukcharern, Patricia Tanchanok Good, Nawat Kulrattanarak, Prakarn Raiva, Cindy Sirinya Bishop, Sonia Couling. The event was well attended by businesspersons, celebrities and some of Bangkok’s hi-so crowd to celebrate their first experience of the iconic property at the grand launch.
Bringing the Waldorf Astoria mantra of “Live Unforgettable” to life, guests were welcomed by a stunning floral mannequin and a dazzling light display as they entered the hotel. The spectacular grand opening featured an array of entertainment starting with a captivating contemporary dance leading guests into the lavishly decorated Magnolia Ballroom. Guests enjoyed a dine-around experience at the three destination restaurants - Front Room, The Brasserie and Bull & Bear. The unforgettable evening culminated at the peak of the hotel at The Loft and the glamourous Champagne Bar where guests enjoyed live entertainment and DJs while overlooking the city lights below.
The landmark hotel is owned by MQDC (Magnolia Quality Development Corporation Limited) and managed by Hilton.
