The Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Foundation has always supported public health activities, and has recently joined other private companies in donating 5 million baht to support over 5,000 doctors, nurses and medical staff nationwide in the COVID-19 crisis.
At the Government House, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Health Mr Anutin Charnvirakul was present as representatives from the private sector joined forces to fight the COVID-19 crisis through donations. The donations were presented to the Department of Disease Control director general Mr Suwanchai Watthabayingcharoen. The Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Foundation was one of the companies that supported the cause by donating 5 million baht.

The 5 million baht donation offered to the DDC under the Ministry of Public Health will go to the "Fight COVID-19 Together" project, which will provide COVID-19 insurance to 50,000 medical staff nationwide to support them in this battle against COVID-19.
The support in the fight against the COVID-19 is in line with the mission of the late Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, the former chairman of the Foundation, in supporting communities and society in education and health. Formerly, the Foundation has donated 20 million baht to the Bamrasnaradura Infectious Diseases Institute (BIDI) for medical procedures
